IS SELF-MADE THE RIGHT WORD TO USE?

An elderly couple walked into a fast food restaurant. The little old man walked into the counter, ordered food, paid, and took the tray back to the table where the little old lady sat. On the tray was a hamburger, a small bag of fries, and a drink.
Carefully, the old man cut the hamburger in two and divided the fries into two neat piles. He sipped the drink and passed it to the little old lady, who took a sip and passed it back.

A young man at a nearby table had watched the old couple and felt sorry for them. He offered to buy them another meal, but the old man politely declined, saying they were used to sharing everything. The old man began to eat his food, but his wife sat still, not eating.

The young man continued to watch the couple. He still felt he should be offering to help. The old man was almost done eating, but the old lady had still not started on her food. “Ma’am, why aren’t you eating?” Asked the young man sympathetically. The old lady looked up and replied politely, “I’m waiting for the teeth”.

We all need help from someone and sometimes, I think there’s no such thing as a “self-made” man or woman because I believe we’re made up of thousands of others. If you believe in nothing but yourself alone, you live in a very small world—

The higher you go in life, the more dependent you will become on other people. You need people’s ideas or good advice in whatever project you wanna embark on and those people have contributed to part of your success story. Woodrow Wilson was quoted as saying, “I not only use all the brains I have, but all that I can borrow”. Behind a capable person, there are always other capable people.

Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us or spoken a word of encouragement to us has entered into the makeup of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.

Have a grateful heart and acknowledge those who help you. It’s easy to blame others for our failures, but do we credit others for our success?

We’ll never experience lasting success without relationships. No person alone can match the cooperative effort of the right team..

Do you agree or disagree?

Have a beautiful day 😘❤️
